Barcode Print Calibration Guide

Minimum Dimension Scaling: Matching X-Dimension to Printer DPI

Barcode quality starts with sizing that the printer can actually reproduce. If the selected X-dimension resolves into awkward fractional dots or anti-aliased scaling, the printed mark will drift from the intended geometry.

Printer DPICommon starting point
20310-12 mil for many linear labels
3007-10 mil when substrate and scanner allow
600Fine-detail work with careful validation

Use integer-dot thinking where possible and validate the physical result instead of trusting CSS scaling.
